Description: Enamel (финифть). Painting with enamel paints on the mate glass with metal lining with alternate burning of each color in special oven. Temperature for burning of each color of enamel paint is different, and that's why they are done alternately. Maximum temperature of burning is approximately of 1000 degree Celsius.
This icon has the highest level of enamel painting.
Silver frame with the hole for cord or chain. Silver 84th example. Jewelry workshop of Khlebnikov. In the 19th century Khlebnikov was one of the best jewelers of Russia, which has the status of a supplier to the court of the Russian Emperor and some other European monarchs. On the stamp, this is reflected by the two-headed Eagle.
