Description: Alexander Svirsky (in the world his name was - Amos . Because at birth he was named in honor of the prophet Amos ) was famous for many wonders and righteous way of life. He is the only Russian saint ( !) who was awarded with the phenomenon of the Trinity.
Therefore, St. Alexander Svirsky called " Seer of the Holy Trinity" the second (Russian) Abraham: as the Old Testament prophet , in 1507 after twenty-five years of seclusion and desert living, he was granted by the vision of the Lightbringer Trinity, which had specified to him the place of the future the monastery.

This icon called - Pilgrimage icon. Such icons were made for the people who were visiting this northern monastery and they were written by the icon painters - monks from this monastery. Usually in any large monastery there was a similar tradition of the pilgrimage icon, where were depicted saints associated with this monastery .
