Technique & Material: Binding: wood covered in velvet, silver jewelry frame. Silver of the 84 sample, gilding on mercury, chasing, engraving.
Description: The Gospel in a precious frame. Engraved thick-walled lining from silver of 84 sample. The binding was dragged by velvet in the 18th century. On the front cover there are five metal overlays: images of the Resurrection and four Evangelists in the corners. Work clasps of silver of 84 sample. A full set of engravings. Stamps on the silver: "1759 year. Assay master VA. Jeweler PVK, PA"
Condition: Almost perfect. Slight rubbing of fragments of velvet bindings.
Provenance: Private collection. A unique specimen of the highest religious-historical and antiquarian-museum significance.
