Information: "The multilayer technique of the painting live like faces, which was designed by Simon Ushakov, was very complex and required exceptional skill of the painter. Isographs of the Armory of the next generation, who worked in Moscow at the turn of the XVII-XVIII centuries, developed a new style to perfection. Their works are distinguished by a special aristocracy, which was based on highly professional performance.
This icon is a prime example of the period.
