It was her spiritual way in the desert for 47 years, where she started from a harlot and ended as the great saint. Mary of Egypt is dedicated to many temples. St. Martyr Karp, was a disciple of the Apostle Paul, then a bishop.
Beheaded for Christ in the 3rd century. Rare icon has a perfect state of preservation.
