Technique & Material: round-shaped board, gesso, tempera, engraving, mixed manner of painting, drying oil. Description: An iconography of this icon features a picturesque and realistic manner, - a so-called "academic" style, popular in Moscow and Palekh in the 19th century.
Decorations of the borders with gold leaf and complicated engraved ornamentation of the background in Byzantine style bring additional charm and solemnity to the image. This rare and impressive icon represents a high collection interest.
