Description: In this version, Archangel Michael is depicted in the guise of the Archistratig. There is an open scroll with an inscription in Church- Slavonic language in his hand: “I am - the Archistratig of the Heavenly Powers, Archangel Michail.”
This icon is painted in the traditional style of icon painting. The good level of face painting is reminiscent of the Greek school of icon painting. The image is full of dynamics, which is emphasized by the fluttering tunic and the open wings of the Archangel, which occupy almost the entire area of the centerpiece.
