Description: High folk old Russian icon painting, without Western influence. The icon depicts two saints: mother and son. They were tortured and then executed for not giving up their faith in Christ.
This image was especially revered by the Old Believers, since they felt persecuted themselv, like Saint Kirik and Saint Ulita were persecuted.
The icon was cleaned of a thick layer of darkened drying oil and is in good condition.
