Description: On this icon, Jesus Christ is depicted in the image of a beautiful, sweet child. The child has a high forehead, golden hair and beautiful eyes. Emmanuel's piercing gaze is full of supreme wisdom and masculinity.
This, by the way, is a characteristic, distinctive feature of this luxurious icon. Usually, Emmanuel's look is more childish.
This icon is superbly executed in an aristocratic manner by a great Moscow master with strong skills, which are demonstrated here.
The clothes are luxuriously masterfully decorated with melted gold. An icon painter, who had access to the gold and rare pigments was, by definition, a good master of a high class. Perfect state of preservation. This icon was cleared from mud, soot and a layer of darkened drying oil.
Also, a bright and attractive feature of this icon is its golden nimbus. A large nimbus is perfectly executed with a thick sheet of polished gold leaf around the perimeter.
Colors of this icon are bright, rich, clean. Purple tunic dominates, made in bright cinnabar. The fields are light olive, and the background is sky-colored. The faces painting is executed in many layers.
