Technique & Material: Board, gesso, tempera, drying oil. Setting (oklad): silver 84", stamped with the coat of arms of Saint Petersburg, initials of the jeweler "Ya.M.". Icon case - wood, varnish.
Description: Icon has an expanded plot depicting Saint George on a horse, beating a serpent, symbolizing the victory of faith in Christ over the devil.
This icon is characterized by a high level of miniature painting and a rich polychrome color palette of the painting. The forged silver frame was expertly crafted by a capital jeweler.
The icon is placed in a beautiful wooden case, which was made especially for this icon.
