Description: The icon is painted in the second half of 19th century in Moscow, during the period of Renaissance, the time of rebirth of icon art in the rule of Tsar Nicholas II.
The author of the icon was among the best masters of that time. Top level of painting (“school” icon).
Rare subject. According to the church legend, Evangelist Luke was not the only the author of last part of the Gospel and Apocalypse, but also the first iconographer. Ideal state of preservation
