Description: Sophia the Wisdom of God - the hypostasis of Jesus Christ before His incarnation on Earth.
Saint Sophia is depicted in the royal crown, in bishop's red robes, seated on a gilded throne. Selected Saints are depicted to the left and right of the Throne. Above Saint Sophia there are two hypostases of God: God the Son and God the Father. Angels, Cherubim and Seraphim crown the complex composition of the icon.
The image is full of dynamics. The painting occupies the entire area of the centerpiece. Six saints are depicted on the icon fields, which suggests that the icon was painted by order.
