Technique & Material: Board with the ark, gesso, tempera, drying oil.
Description: The icon is a bright example of the folk iconography. In this one icon we can see the whole family iconostasis for the concrete family. A very significant part of the saints - they are favorite patrons and helpers for Russian peasants. It was obligatory to have the icon of saints in the house.
Mother of God of Kazan, the Resurrection, St Nicholas the Miracle-worker,
St. Samon, St. Gruy, St. Aviv, St. Flor, St. Laurel, St. George the Warrior, St Paraskeva (Friday), St John the Baptist.
