This is a very revered icon in Rus'. We or our colleagues have never seen it in such an unusual version as this. The Mother of God is as if in paradise, with wonderful heavenly flowers. This is a very unusual icon with the Queen of Heaven was painted by the highest master of icon painting. This icon is magnificent with rich color scheme. The colors of the icon are one of the important indicators of both the material value - price and its significance as an antique, artistic value.
This image has yet to be studied. We are still studying it. It is possible that this icon is completely unique. It is absolutely canonical but unusual.
This icon was cleared from under a layer of darkened, "amber" drying oil. The uncovering was done by two of the best restorers of our city. Now it is completely finished. It is "uncovered" and all the colors sound again in a single ensemble. After two centuries, the colors are clean and rich. The icon is fortunately preserved - ideally and has not been restored. It has an ideal state of preservation
Its special significance is emphasized by its large size and abundance of gold.
