Description:  The icon depicts God the Father, which in itself is very rare. In some periods such icons were even forbidden. The icon of such a large size speaks of Old Believer origin. Most likely this the icon was the center of the iconostasis of the rich merchant’s home church - Old Believer. During the post-revolutionary persecution of faith, this icon was saved in the attic of a merchant's house.

This icon is painted in a bright, Kostroma style of icon painting, which became the basis of the icon painting school of the Kremlin Armory.

The icon is canonical, but unprecedented tricks are introduced into it. God Savaof surrounded by Angels in a hierarchy: Power, Power of Origin, Thrones. There is no ornament around the foot of the God, but the younger angelic ranks: Seraphims and Cherubs.

There are absolutely no empty spaces on the background of the icon. The glow coming from the figure the Lord Sabaoth is transparent and permeates the entire background.

The icon is in perfect condition. It was only strengthened and cleared of age-old dirt.
