This icon belonged and was a family protective shrine in the collection the famous ballerina Matilda Kshesinskaya (1872-1971) and her husband Grand Duke Andrew (1879-1956).
The icon was located in their villa Monitor. France. Paris.
The icon was sold directly at auction from Villa Monitor, along with some other items from the collection of the Grand Duke. According to the importance of the icon and its owners please ask for more detailed provenance and guarantees authenticity.

Matilda Feliksovna Kshesinskaya (1872-1971) - great Russian ballerina and a teacher of Polish origin. She was prima ballerina of the Mariinsky Theater and Honored Artist of the Imperial Theaters. She is known for her relationships with members of the Russian Imperial House: 1890-1894 met with Tsarevich Nikolai Alexandrovich (future Emperor) and Andrey Vladimirovich. In 1921, in France, she married Prince Andrei Vladimimrovich Romanov, after what she has received the title of Saint Princess of Romanov-Krasinskaya.
Grand Duke Andrey Vladimirovich Romanov (1879-1956). The Last Great Prince of the House of Romanov. in 1921 in Cannes, he married 49 year old Matilda Kschesinskaya.
