Description: Provenance: This icon was donated by the Mother hegumene Abbess of the Convent of the Intercession of the Mother of God in the 20's. The icon was presented to one of the parishioners of the monastery in order to save it from desecration or destruction by the Communists during the church terror of the 20's, after the October Revolution of 1917.
Despite the fairly simple painting, it is obvious that the icon had a high sacred significance, since the Hegumene Irinarchia gave it to her for salvation from the sacristy of the monastery.
This is an unusual icon that has the highest sacred and historical significance. We acquired it from the family, where it was kept for almost 100 years, since the day it was presented from Mother hegumene.
