Description: The drapery of the clothes of the holy tunic and chiton are gently and plasticly lay. Pastel colors are used for this icon.His bright and pensive face is semi-transaprent. In general, this is a fairly simple though professional icon.
Perhaps according to the existing tradition, this extremely expensive oklad was ordered as a gift to Saint Panteleimon as a miracle of healing. Traditionally, Saint Panteleimon is revered as the patron of doctors. Peoples also prayed to him for recovery.
