Technique & Material: Board, gesso, tempera, gold leaf, dryoing oil.
Description: This icons is a fine example of a miniature Palekh iconography of a high level. In the 2018, this icon was cleared from the darkened drying oil. In the upper right corner of the icon you can see a sample of drying oil before clearing.
On the back side of the icon in the lower left corner there is an inscription made by whitewash: "Palekh, I.F. 1914" This initials "I.F." are probably belong to the Palekh iconographer Ilya Figurin.
Excellent state of preservation.
