Description:   The highest level of painting in the ancient canon, incredibly pure beautiful colors. This icon special detail - an ancient technique: Saint Nicholas halo was created by a "rainbow" technique. This "till-shoulder" image makes the face of Saint Nicholas almost huge. This iconography has the strongest positive effect on the person praying. Very charismatic face of Saint Nicholas.

Provenance: Tallinn. Private collection. Was purchased by the Russian Icon Gallery in 2020.
