Description:  This icon was created in one of the best art workshops.

The face of the saint was painted using the technique of multilayer overlaying of ocher. That's why the face it slightly voluminous and transparent, the gaze of the saint is profound.

The saint's clothes are extremely elegant. They are generously painted with gold and they are rich range of colors from rare pigments for Russia, including dark pink, turquoise and etc.

The nimbus is made in gold using the "stretching" technique. This is Moscow branded skill.

Provenance: Private collection in Tallinn. This icon was brought from Moscow in around 1920.
