Technique & Material: Board with the ark , gesso , tempera , drying oil .

Description: Seven youths of Ephesus, (Seven sleeping youths ; Seven saint youths, sleeping in Ephesus ) - Christian martyrs , were buried alive in a cave and slept there for several centuries. Also honored in Islam.
The high level of traditional iconography. A rare example of the icon with such story in such a small size.

Ideal state of preservation. A rare copy.

This icon was cleared from the layer of darkened varnish .
