19th Century. Circa 1850. Moscow. Old Believer community of Transfiguration . Old Believer's art casting  studio " The Transfiguration ".
Size: 65 x 168 mm.
Technique & Material: Copper alloy, cast, hot enamel of two colors (white and dark blue).

Description: Travel iconostas. The cental panel depicting the Deesis range. Jesus Christ on the throne with the Mother of God and John the Baptist.

On the left wing we can see the Apostle John the Theologian (John the Divine), St. Nicholas the Miracle-worker and Metropolitan Philip, on the right wing there is The Guardian Angel, Saint Zosima and Savvaty of Solovki.
On the back side of the left wing there is shown the Cross of Golgotha mountain.

Very high quality of the casting with incredible detail, rich decoration with the bright vitreous enamel, fire gilding - the principal distinguishing features of the Moscow art casting school. The masterpiece of very good genuine condition.
